Alright I had been meaning to do this before now but at least I'm getting this done this month. That being an overview of movies I've noticed that were coming out this year. I'll go through each month pointing out the ones I've been paying attention to the most.
January:
Nothing here, the movies either haven't resonated with me or look too stupid to even consider.
February:
Deadpool - I'm sure you've seen the test footage as well as the trailers. This one looks like it'll be a funny superhero movie. Really looking forward to this one.
Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, Zoolander 2 - Both look pretty dumb, but then again that's the idea behind Zoolander in general. Pass
March:
Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice - This is the one I'm worried about, DC and Warner Bros. making their ham fisted attempt to catch up with Marvel for the movie heroes. I get the feeling their attempts to shoehorn a bunch of characters into one movie won't turn out as well as they want. We'll have to see.
April:
Ratchet and Clank - Oh hooray another movie based on a video game, those have done so well before... /sarcasm
May:
Captain America: Civil War - The whole Marvel storyline has been pretty good so far, of course I'm sure someone would love to point out all the plot holes to me. Trust me I don't care, it's nice to have a few explosions and plot development mixed together. And this one looks like it'll be a little wild so we'll have to see what happens there.
X-Men: Apocalypse - The X-Men movies have been pretty good overall, and the little bits I've seen about this one should continue that trend. Plus we get to see Olivia Munn dressed up as Psylocke, that's worth at least part of the price of admission right there.
June:
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows - Michael Bay ruins another childhood property. I'll have the piss off with a triple side order of pass for this one.
Warcraft - I dunno, I just really don't know about this one. Mebbe.
Independence Day: Resurgence - I might see this one when it comes to the movie channels, unless it looks like a must see in theaters. I thought the first movie was really good, but the last time a movie franchise took years and years to do a sequel the second film was kinda bad.
July:
The Purge 3 - What, 5 people went to see this one and it warrants another sequel? How dumb are the main victims in this movie gonna be? No, just crap no.
Ghostbusters - Hooray another reboot... I seem to remember that one of the stars of this new take on Ghostbusters annoys me to no end. I'll have to look at the cast of this one to decide if I'm going to go see that one or not.
Star Trek Beyond - This could be the movie that starts the petition to get Captain Lensflare to direct the next movie in the late 2020s. They got a guy that did a couple of the Fast and Furious films to direct this one, so don't be surprised when someone detonates the Enterprise's Nitrous tank in this film. I'll watch it if someone else pays for the ticket, and even then I reserved the right to feel ripped off.
August:
Suicide Squad - For the love of crap I hope this movie does well, you have no idea. Now I do realize this is a movie that bases everything off of the new52 stuff that most everyone agrees is terrible, but I think this is a movie people need to see. The reason being is that a movie that doesn't star Batman or Superman but is still a DC movie needs to do well in theaters. The studio execs need to see that people want to see other DC characters on the big screen.
September:
Nothing here apparently, I thought there was a movie here but it doesn't seem that way.
October:
Gambit - Haven't heard too much about this one, we'll have to see.
November:
Doctor Strange - Little bit after Halloween is when things get strange. Yes I know that's a bad joke. Seriously though I saw the costume and and it looks pretty spot on to the "classic look" of Doctor Strange. Hopefully we'll see more of the movie as we progress through the year.
December:
Rogue One: A Star Wars story - The first of the spin off films now that the leader of the Jedi Council is a mouse. Again very little information so I don't know what to say about it. Could be interesting or it could kinda take a dump, not sure which one right now.
Assassin's Creed - Another video game based movie, another movie I'm not sure about. We'll have to see.
And those are the ones I care about this year. If you have a movie you wanted to see on this list and I didn't include it oh well. Seriously though I'm most looking forward to Civil War and Suicide Squad. The film I'm dreading the most is Dawn of Justice, with Star Trek Beyond being a very close second.
Anyway, I'm sure someone missed the stamps:

Finally trying to celebrate 1K submissions
I wanted to write this a couple of days ago, wasn't able to then and probably shouldn't be doing this now, but for the love of crap I'm trying to be happy about something here dammit. 1,000 submissions. I have 1,000 pieces of art between crap I've done, art commissions that I've foisted on the poor saps that agreed to do stuff for me, contest pieces I've won, and the few pieces of gift art I've gotten. That is amazing. When I started on this site all those years ago I never expected 1. To post anything and 2. To ever get any kind of following. Now here I am with characters that have been loved (not sure how loved they are these days) and have reached across other interests/fetishes to get people that never saw a Sahlia or a Polygirl or an Arachnia type character before to find them interesting/attractive/someone to follow. I've had people tell me that their characters have fallen in love with my characters, other people have mentioned that they've fallen in love with the
A bit of happiness right now
So I wanted to comment on something that I posted last year. That being this picture here: It's a collab between me and @miraminx that I had actually sat on for 2(?) years for some reason. Anyway like I said I had posted this one year ago today and the number of views is amazing. 20,400+ views, I haven't had a pic get this many views in so short a time in years. I mean it's roughly 10 years bare minimum since I've gotten this many views on a picture period, let alone in a year. I'm amazed, Mira should be happy about that, and hopefully it gets a lot more views in the future.
So it's Villain Appreciation Day...
It decided to sneak up on me this year (like most years really). The thing I realized when this started to happen is I only have one real villain out of all of my characters, that being Hali. She's the start, middle, and end of list of villains I've worked on out of all of my characters. Some of you may realize I have one other character that could qualify but I haven't done anything with her yet. Now I know some people will sit there and say "but what about Sahlia and KeiKo? They're rogues, they qualify don't they?" Here's my answer to that: No they don't. I try to write Sahlia as more of a random act of randomness. Sometimes she gets hired by someone to do something, doesn't matter if it's good or evil. Sometimes she goes and takes something for herself other than the fact she can, if she's feeling good enough she may put it back too. Other times she helps out heroes with resources she took from actual power mad villains. KeiKo also doesn't count since they are usually
900 submissions
Would you believe it? Between my gallery and my scrapbook I'm up to 900 submissions. I never count journals (like this), polls, and status updates. There's this whole big long list of artists to thank for all the commissions, collaborations, and gift art that fill my gallery over the years but because of the "improvements" to the site, it's a pain in the ass to list them all and actually have things work to actually show the icons. It's been a lot of work to get this far, and even though things have been slowing down on my end as far as ideas go and such, I still have a few ideas left at least. I hate to bring up the storm clouds on this otherwise positive occasion, but I'm mainly back to writing by myself for mainly myself again. With the original Angel Falls group shut down and the group to carry on the story comatose at best a lot of my characters are out of a home effectively. And then with Dream Haven shutting down earlier this year the two characters I had in there are

I'm actually looking forward to Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice more than Suicide Squad. But I will most likely see both movies in theatres. Also want to see Captain America Civil War.
